The silicate paint FAST F-S is designed for coating mineral bases such as: cement, cement-lime and thin-coat mineral plasters. It can also be applied on crude bases made of concrete, also brick, blocks, hollow bricks as well, as on other ceramic and sand-lime materials.
Characteristics
It is a well coating, mat, steam-permeable paint based on water glass resistant to UV radiation and air pollution. It can be used both indoors and outdoors. It reacts chemically with the base and penetrates its structure. The basic colour is white. It is possible to dye, choice of AQUATEC SF (approximately 200 colours).
Preparation of the base
The base should be dry, stable, fast and cleaned of any residues which might weaken the adherence of the prime, such as especially dust, dirt, wax and grease. Old weak quality paint coats and other coats of weak base adherence, as well as dispersion paint coats should be thoroughly removed in order to achieve a clean mineral base. Small defects and cracks must be repaired and filled. Each base should absolutely be primed with the silicate product FAST GRUNT S in order to harden and equalize the absorptivity of the base. Fresh, new plasters can be primed after drying up, however not earlier than 3 days after plastering.
Instructions
The FAST F-S paint is delivered as a ready for use product. After opening, mix the contents thoroughly in order to make the consistence even. Apply a thin, even coat of FAST F-S on a previously prepared and primed base. Apply two coats with a roller or brush. The paint can be diluted, especially when painting at the temperature close to the maximum allowable of +25oC. In order to dilute the paint use FAST GRUNT S in the amount not more than 5% ( by volume) The accepted proportions should be used on the whole surface to be painted. However, for the final coat use the paint undiluted. Time of drying up depending on the base, temperature, relative air humidity is from approximately 2 to 6 hours. Do not work when it is raining, windy or when the base to be primed is exposed to direct strong sunlight. Protect from rain, frost and quick drying up. Apply the general technology for painting with wall paints.
Efficiency
Use of FAST F-S when applying a single coat, depending on the base porosity is from 0,10 to 0,20 l/m2.
Storage
The paint should be stored and transported in tightly originally closed packages in the temperature of from + 5oC to +25oC.

Note
The product contains water glass, it may show aggressive reaction towards metals, glass and wood. Avoid eye and skin contact. After a direct eye contact, rinse with plenty of water and see the doctor. Store away from children. Clean the tools with water, directly after the use before the paint dries up.
The range of the product use recommended and defined in these instructions does not relieve the user/contractor from the obligation of carrying out works following both building principles as well as labour safety regulations.
