FAST KORNIK MINERALNY  [58 kB]
 Products' info
Application
FAST KORNIK is designed for manual making of stucco, thin-coat plaster work both inside as well as outside the building. It can be applied on any mineral base which is adequately fast and even (cement plasters, cement-lime plasters, concrete, the external coat in the insulation systems).
Characteristics
FAST KORNIK is a dry mineral mixture with the addition of the selected quartz aggregate as well as softening agents making the application of the plaster easier and improving the adherence of the plaster to the base. It is characteristic for its high permeability and resistance to water after a complete setting.
Preparation of the base
The base must be even, fast and dry, without any impurities decreasing its adherence such as dust, lime, or remains of previous paint coats. In order to decrease the absorptivity the base should be primed with one of the primes of FAST. Always in order to increase the plaster adherence, no matter of what type the base is, it should be primed with FAST GRUNT M.
Instructions
All the contents of the bag must be stirred mechanically with 5 liters of clean water until an even paste of the intended consistence is reached. Then, leave it for approximately 10 minutes and stir again, it must be used up within 1 hour.
Apply a thin, grain-thick coat of plaster with a stainless steel trowel onto a previously, adequately prepared and primed base. Then, after a short while, depending on the conditions during plastering, we can proceed to make patterns with a plastic float, roller, brush or any similar tool. The plaster can be float finished (floated) with movements in any directions. When plastering, follow the general principle of applying “wet on wet”. In case the paste gets thick, stir it again carefully without adding any water. Tools and the container must be clean.
Also, when plastering, be careful about the right weather conditions, which means, avoid great insolation, rain and too much humidity. The temperature should be from + 5o C up to 25o C. The time for the coat to dry up is from 12 to 36 hours.
The plaster can then be coated with acrylic paints not earlier then 4 weeks following plastering, whereas in case of silicate paints, you can proceed with coating after the plaster dries up.
